Chapter 01: Brasilis, El Dicastes & Doram

Chapter 01 opens Brasilis, El Dicastes and Scaraba Hole, debuts Doram and account-wide achievements, rebuilt companion AI, detailed Homunculus and expanded-class balance, Autoloot 2.0, signed costumes, and major server optimizations.

Chapter 01: Brasilis & El Dicastes

Brasilis

  • Added Brasilis city, its guide, regional warps, official quest lines, fields, and both dungeon floors with their full spawn sets.
  • The official Alberta ↔ Brasilis voyage is now available. Find the Crewman at alberta 242/89.
  • Brasilis now has a Kafra, save point, a hotel offering recovery for 5,000 Zeny, and its permanent city monsters.
  • Brasilis Dungeon becomes available in the Warper after completing its access quest.
  • Cards have been completed for monsters including Iara, Piranha, and the MVP Boitata.

El Dicastes & Scaraba Hole

  • Scaraba Hole launches with dic_dun01 and dic_dun02. The Gold/Nightmare expansion and dic_dun03 will be added later.
  • Scaraba Hole becomes available in the Warper after completing its access quest.
  • Added complete profiles for Uni-horn Scaraba, Horn Scaraba, Antler Scaraba, Rake Scaraba, their eggs, Dolomedes, and Queen Scaraba.
  • Queen Scaraba retains reduced incoming damage, proper MVP rewards, and a base respawn of 2 hours.

Scope notes

  • The basic Peddler is the only newly activated El Dicastes merchant. Mado Gear Armorers, Point Merchants, and Sorcerer catalyst shops are not included. Dragon Manteau and Dragon Vest are not currently available.

Doram arrives in Pre-Renewal

Doram is now a complete, directly playable Base 99 / Job 50 class with no rebirth. The class follows the Pre-Renewal stat cap of 99 and ASPD cap of 190, uses the transcendent Base EXP curve, and has a dedicated 49-step Job EXP table.

Starting out

  • New Dorams begin at new_1-1 53/111 with an equipped Beginner Foxtail Staff [1] and Cotton Shirt.
  • Dorams complete the shared Training Grounds lessons without receiving the Novice training set.
  • New Basic Skill Lv. 1 is the only exit requirement. The personality test and human job selection are skipped, and every exit saves the character in Prontera.

Skill tree & combat rules

  • The 10-point core opens three proper branches: Animal, Plant, and Seafood. Spirit Marble and Stoop are no longer mandatory tree gates.
  • Soul Attack is a free toggle that changes normal attacks from melee to 11-cell range. Scar of Tarou now requires Arclouse Dash Lv. 3 instead of Root Twist.
  • Core formulas and behavior were rewritten for Bite, Scratch, Stem Spear, Silvervine Stem Spear, Catnip Powdering, Catnip Meteor, Root Twist, Scar of Tarou, Picky Peck, Lunatic Carrot Beat, Fresh Shrimp, Tuna Belly, Tuna Party, and all three branch passives.

  • Root Twist now genuinely prevents movement. Bosses and MVPs resist Root, but can receive Powdering and Scar; Emperium receives neither Root nor Scar.
  • Catnip Meteor lands 2/3/3/4/4 hits and performs at most one Curse check per target per cast.
  • From Job Lv. 30, Stem Spear and Picky Peck each gain a 33% chance to deal a separate, delayed second damage packet.
  • Fresh Shrimp applies 10 healing ticks every 3 seconds using the heal value captured on cast.

Equipment access

  • Dorams may use non-weapon equipment available to Gunslinger, Ninja, or Soul Linker; foreign weapon types remain blocked.

Mercenaries & server-side Companion AI

Mercenary guild reputation

  • Faith/Loyalty no longer blocks or pays for contracts. Sword, Spear, and Bow guilds now have separate, persistent, account-wide reputation from Grade 1 to 10.
  • Grade 1 is available by default. Higher grades require materials; Grades 6–10 also require a final Zeny fee. Materials can be deposited in batches and continued on another character from the same account.
  • Required Base Levels for Grades 1–10 are 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 / 90 / 90.
  • Contracts cost 7,000 Zeny × Grade, up to 70,000 Zeny at Grade 10, and retain their 30-minute duration.
  • Mercenary Double Strafe range is now 10, matching the Archer Mercenary's normal attack.
  • Potion Pitcher works on your own Mercenary and restores 50% of the final modified HP/SP amount. Casting it on another player's Mercenary is rejected.
  • Mercenary Grades 1–8 are unchanged; Grades 9–10 received a buff.
GuildGrade 9 — HP / SP / DEXGrade 10 — HP / SP / DEX

Companion AI

Server-side AI is enabled by default for both Homunculus and Mercenary. The server can handle movement, following, target selection, normal attacks, and skills without relying on client AI.

After the patch, client-side Lua AI scripts and manual movement, attack, or skill commands will no longer control Homunculi or Mercenaries while server-side AI is active. This removes per-client setup, simplifies companion use, and standardizes behavior for everyone. Lifecycle actions remain available.

  • Use @homunai or @mercai to open the full configuration window.
  • Choose from Passive, Support, Defensive, Balanced, and Aggressive presets. Balanced is the default.
  • Configure attacks, skills, proactive search, assist/defend behavior, follow distance, search and chase range, SP reserve, pause state, and off-list target policy.
  • Each companion type has its own allowlist of up to 64 monster species. An empty list permits all legal targets; DEFEND admits an off-list monster only after a real attack.
  • Create up to 24 prioritized skill rules with target, HP/status/enemy-count conditions, SP reserve, and retry delay.
  • Kill-steal protection and party assist are enabled. Automation is disabled in PvP, GvG, and Battleground maps.

Homunculus balance overhaul

  • Lif: Healing Touch no longer consumes a Red Slim Potion. Avoid lasts 40 seconds at every level with a 45-second cast delay. Mental Change is now a permanent passive that grants VIT and INT +5 per level, up to +15/+15.
  • Amistr: Defense lasts 60 seconds at every level and grants DEF +2/+4/+6/+8/+10 plus VIT +4/+6/+8/+10/+12 to both master and Homunculus. Bloodlust lasts 60 seconds with no recast lock, grants ATK +35%, has a 5/10/15% leech chance, and heals 20% of damage dealt.
  • Filir: Moonlight now costs 4/6/8/10/12 SP. Fleeting Move lasts 60 seconds, costs 30 SP, and grants ATK +10/15/20/25/30% plus ASPD +3/6/9/12/15%. Speed lasts 60 seconds and grants FLEE +20/+30/+40/+50/+60.
  • Crafting: The hidden +5% crafting success bonus now applies whenever any Homunculus is active, instead of being limited to Vanilmirth.

Account-wide progression

Achievements

  • Chapter 01 introduces achievements as an account-wide system: progress, completion, and reward claims are account-wide.
  • The Pre-Renewal catalog contains 136 active achievements, including 56 title rewards.
  • Goals cover class and level progression, regular monsters and MVPs, Zeny, refining, cards, pets, PvP, damage records, repeatable hunts, Annihilator/Eradicator, city exploration, and secrets.
  • Added account-wide trackers for visiting Midgard's major cities and discovering hidden encounters.

Annihilator, Eradicator & repeatable hunts

  • Annihilator retains nine hunting stages and its final conversation, with a costume at every stage.
  • Completing Annihilator unlocks Eradicator: nine harder stages ranging from 100 to 15,000 kills, plus a finale and a costume at every milestone.
  • Both paths share kill credit with online party members on the same map.
  • Repeatable Kill Points now feed account-wide achievement thresholds through completed assignments and trophies actually spent on EXP.

Autoloot, Gold Cards & costumes

Autoloot 2.0

  • @autoloot without arguments opens a paginated settings window; @aloot is now an alias.
  • Quick forms on, off, and 0.01–100.00 still work, with either a dot or comma as the decimal separator.
  • Always-loot and ignore lists are now account-wide, indexed, and no longer capped at 20 entries.
  • Fixed: card autoloot logic was reversed. Enabling it now collects cards correctly; disabling it can respect your ignore list.

Extra drops & Gold Card rules

  • Regular qualifying monster: 3% chance for a Gold Card.
  • Boss/mini-boss: guaranteed 1–3 Gold Cards.
  • MVP: guaranteed 3–10 Gold Cards.
  • The Thief Bug family on prt_sewb2/3: 0.5%.

Costumes

  • The Costume Converter now transforms the same item instance instead of replacing it with a legacy costume ID.
  • The item preserves its ID, refine, grade, binding, expiry, random options, and real card. While worn as a costume, all stats, scripts, refine, card effects, random options, and combos are completely inactive.
  • Conversion and reversal each cost 10 Gold Cards. Eligible headgear must occupy only top/mid/low positions and have no more than one slot.
  • Enchant/Reform and other paths that could damage the signature are blocked.
  • Costume Trader now offers 126 additional costumes, each priced at 200,000 Zeny + 50 Gold Cards.

Client & commands

Client & player commands

  • Added /range: while casting, it displays the selected skill's range to make positioning easier.
  • Removed client walkdelay, making movement input more responsive and character motion smoother.
  • @hidepeco [on|off] hides your Peco only on your own client. It does not dismount you or change what other players see.

Combat, monster & item balance

  • The mobbing FLEE penalty now starts with the fourth attacking monster and removes 5% FLEE for each additional attacker.
  • Monster chase refresh was reduced from 30 to 3, so monsters recalculate pursuit much sooner after losing a target.
  • Removed emotion-triggered mode changes from 83 regular monster AI profiles; monsters now preserve intended aggression while being mobbed.

HOW TO READ THE OLD VALUES

Gunslinger previously inherited Star Gladiator's HP table, Ninja inherited Soul Linker's, and Super Novice inherited the basic Novice table.

New World attack correction

Several New World monsters had dramatically inflated attack ranges. Their corrected values are:

MonsterPrevious ATKNew ATK
Tatacho10,000–11,0001,193–1,667
Centipede15,000–16,0001,058–1,460

Luciola Vespa9,000–9,900705–959
Bradium Golem12,000–13,0001,367–1,891
  • Hardrock Mammoth and Tendrillion are now boss spawns with MVP EXP and their own cards. Mammoth respawns in 60–90 minutes instead of a fixed 4 hours; Tendrillion now uses a 60–90 minute window.

Miscellaneous changes

  • Atroce Card grants +25 ATK and sets ASPD to the class cap, but normal attacks have a 10% chance to Silence the owner for 10 seconds.
  • The Renewal item previously called Field Manual is now clearly named Field Manual 50%.

Performance, stability & bug fixes

Performance & server stability

  • Reduced work that can block the map-server's main thread, targeting smoother play during high activity.
  • Improved log persistence and database communication so heavy economic, loot, and message traffic has less impact on map performance.
  • Accelerated kill-credit dispatch for quests and achievements, reducing the chance of missed progress during heavy activity.
  • Optimized loading and validation for skills, crafting, Mercenaries, Homunculi, and weapon sizes. Invalid records now fail safely instead of destabilizing the server.
  • Improved automatic schema updates, connection-error handling, timers, and shutdown behavior.

Parallel Autotrade fixes

  • Clones retain their real start time and honor the persistency timeout after server restarts.
  • Expired clones and vending records are cleaned during load and on a recurring 3,600-second interval.
  • Empty or unrecoverable shops no longer leave dead clones on the map.
  • Vending and buying-store signs are sent only after the clone is fully created and now use the correct store type.
  • Improved error handling when loading cart and vending data.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the Homunculus skill tree, Mental Change behavior, and HAMI Defence VIT calculation.
  • Closing a client input window now ends the waiting script and clears its state instead of rerunning the line with stale input.
  • Fixed variable-name case mismatches in Find the Mushroom, WoE Controller, Courier Run, and Szaszlyk the Second.
  • Corrected Einbech Kafra's save point from 182/124 to 179/121.
  • The Morroc quest now consistently uses the name Foxtail Charm instead of Foxtail Ring.
  • Optimized the kill counter, especially when the player is not currently tracking a monster.
  • Cleaned up messages and failure handling across Autoloot, Companion AI, signed costumes, and quest systems.

Chapter 01 goes live on September 2, 2026. Patch your client before connecting and get ready for Brasilis, El Dicastes, Scaraba Hole, Doram, and the new account-wide achievement system.
